On the return journey too, the train will stop at the same eight stations. This could benefit passengers from several cities in Karnataka and Maharashtra.

The Vande Bharat Sleeper will have a total of 16 coaches and will be able to carry 823 passengers at a time. These will include 11 third AC coaches, four second AC coaches and one first AC coach. The train will have 611 seats in third AC, 188 in second AC and 24 in first AC.

The train has been designed for a design speed of 180 km per hour.
