CNN Central News & Network–ITDC India Epress/ITDC News Bhopal: Guwahati (Assam): A national meeting was held in Guwahati to discuss the establishment of Vanmali Creation Centers in the northeastern states. The meeting was chaired by Santosh Choubey, President of Vanmali Srijan Peeth and Chancellor of Rabindranath Tagore University. The gathering saw the participation of prominent writers and academicians from across the country, including Jyoti Raghuvanshi, Arvind Chaturvedi, Professor Sunil Sharma, and Sushil Chaudhary.
Director Santosh Choubey stated that the objective of Vanmali Srijan Peeth is to promote creative dialogue through literature, art, and culture. He noted that over 100 creation centers have already been established across various parts of India, with efforts now being extended to northeastern states such as Assam, Mizoram, Meghalaya, Sikkim, Arunachal Pradesh, and West Bengal.
Discussions in the meeting revolved around the translation of literature and languages, the expansion of Hindi in higher education, and the creation of platforms for cultural activities. Participants emphasized the need to connect local creators and students with the activities of Vanmali Creation Centers.
On this occasion, several coordinators were appointed, and a comprehensive action plan was drafted to adopt an inclusive approach for the promotion of literature and culture. The event concluded with a pledge of dedication and collaboration.
