CNN Central News & Network–ITDC India Epress/ITDC News Bhopal: On the occasion of the 113th birth anniversary of renowned storyteller, educationist, and thinker Jagannath Prasad Chaube ‘Vanmali’, the fifth National Conference of Vanmali Creative Centers was inaugurated with grandeur at Scope Global Skills University, Bhopal. Representatives from creative centers across various states—Madhya Pradesh, Chhattisgarh, Bihar, Jharkhand, Uttarakhand, Rajasthan, Kerala, Assam, West Bengal, Mizoram, Delhi, and Maharashtra—participated enthusiastically in the event.

The objective of the conference was to take activities related to local art, literature, culture, and social concerns to rural and semi-urban regions. In his address, National President Santosh Chaubey described the Vanmali Library as his inspiration and announced the establishment of 50 new creative centers. New Vanmali Creative Peeths will also be set up in Raipur and Lucknow.

In the inaugural session, Chancellor Siddharth Chaturvedi described Vanmali as a great teacher who believed in discipline and simplicity. On this occasion, a film on Vishwa Rang Mauritius was screened, and reports of the annual activities of the creative centers were presented. Several books and magazines published by AISECT Publications were also launched.
A national seminar was also held on the topic “The Role of Vanmali Creative Peeth in Promoting and Publishing Local Creativity.” A poetry symposium, led by poet Leeladhar Mandloi, featured recitations by many senior and emerging poets.

At the conclusion of the conference, students of Tagore National School of Drama gave a musical presentation of poems by renowned Indian poets, leaving the audience deeply moved. This event emerged as an inspiring initiative to take literature, culture, and creative consciousness to rural India.
