CNN Central News & Network–ITDC India Epress/ITDC News Bhopal: On the occasion of the establishment day of the General Surgery Department at the All India Institute of Medical Sciences (AIIMS) Bhopal, a month-long series of programs focusing on excellence in surgical education and training is being organized. As part of this initiative, a Continuous Medical Education (CME) program for resident trainees and a practical surgical skills workshop aimed at enhancing their skills have been arranged.
Chief Guest Ajay Singh, the Executive Director of AIIMS Bhopal, emphasized the importance of using surgical instruments with precision and effectiveness to ensure optimal outcomes for patients. He also stressed the importance of emotionally engaging with patients for their care and swift recovery, as there is no greater duty than serving humanity.
Dr. Pradeep Saxena, Head of the General Surgery Department, highlighted the services provided by the department, including education and research. He mentioned that such programs provide excellent opportunities for our resident trainees to acquire modern education and training, thereby enabling them to achieve excellence and essential skills in their surgical careers.
This program was organized in collaboration with Johnson & Johnson. With the aim of empowering participants with advanced surgical techniques and best practices, more than 30 participants from various medical backgrounds participated in the workshop. Through interactive sessions and practical demonstrations, attendees gained insights into the latest developments in surgical procedures and technologies. The Dean (Academic), Deputy Director (Administration), Hospital Superintendent (Acting), faculty members, and resident trainees actively participated in discussions and practical sessions during the program.
