CNN Central News & Network–ITDC India Epress/ITDC News Bhopal: At Vidyapeeth Institute of Pharmacy, a grand ceremony was organized on the occasion of World Pharmacists Day, marking the conclusion of a seven-day continuous Pharmacovigilance Week celebration.

The program began with a welcome address by Dr. Rupal Dubey, Principal of Vidyapeeth Institute of Pharmacy, who warmly greeted all the guests present. In her speech, Dr. Rupal highlighted that pharmacists are the backbone of the healthcare system. She emphasized how, during the COVID-19 pandemic, pharmacists worked as frontline warriors and how their role in the country is continuously evolving. She urged the students to recognize the strength of their profession and establish themselves in diverse roles within the medical world.

As part of the program, students presented a street play (nukkad natak) showcasing the importance of pharmacy education. A dance drama was also staged to portray the significant role played by pharmacists during the COVID-19 crisis. Students further engaged the audience with solo singing and speeches.

The winners of various competitions conducted during the Pharmacovigilance Week—such as poster making, reel making, quiz, speech, and rangoli competitions—were honored with prizes during the World Pharmacists Day program.

Students of the Vidyapeeth Institute of Pharmacy also celebrated the day with a special cake cutting ceremony based on the theme of World Pharmacists Day.

Dr. Rajiv Arya from Vidyapeeth Group of Institutions encouraged students to continue organizing such meaningful events. The program concluded with a vote of thanks delivered by Diploma Principal Mr. Kailash Sahu.
