CNN Central News & Network–ITDC India Epress/ITDC News Bhopal: A Vigilance Awareness Program was organized at AIIMS Bhopal in accordance with the directives of the Central Vigilance Commission and the orders of the Ministry of Health and Family Welfare.

Executive Director of AIIMS Bhopal, Ajay Singh, emphasized the institution’s commitment to promoting a culture of vigilance and integrity, stating, “The Vigilance Awareness Campaign is an important platform that reminds us of the need for ethical practices in all aspects of our work. At AIIMS Bhopal, we are dedicated to maintaining high standards of transparency and accountability. This program educates our staff on conduct rules and best practices in procurement, reinforcing our commitment to a corruption-free environment.”

During the program, two key lectures were held. Director of the Atal Bihari Vajpayee Institute of Good Governance and Policy Analysis, Rajesh Kumar Gupta, delivered a lecture on “Conduct Rules,” stressing the importance of adhering to ethical guidelines and conduct standards for all employees. Additionally, State Manager for GeM Training in Madhya Pradesh, Muzammil Qureshi, presented a lecture on “Procurement through GeM (Government e-Marketplace),” highlighting the benefits of using the GeM platform to ensure transparency and efficiency in government procurement.

Deputy Director (Administration) Ajit Kumar also spoke on the occasion, explaining the need for vigilance and the role of awareness programs in promoting compliance and good governance. He said, “Through such programs, we aim to instill a sense of responsibility among our staff and ensure that the principles of good governance are upheld in every action.”

The program concluded with an interactive session where participants discussed various aspects of vigilance, ethical conduct, and procurement processes with the speakers. AIIMS Bhopal remains committed to promoting good governance and ethical practices in line with the principles set by the Central Vigilance Commission. The event, held as part of the Vigilance Awareness Campaign 2024, saw a large attendance from faculty members, nursing staff, officers, and other employees, with a focus on fostering ethical behavior, transparency, and good governance within the institution.
