CNN Central News & Network–ITDC India Epress/ITDC News Bhopal/ Ujjain : On the eve of Independence Day, the campus of Vikram University resonated with patriotic poetry, songs, and folk performances in 22 languages and numerous dialects. Under the programs “Struggle for Independence, India’s Weapons” and “Creative Readings by Indian Language Speakers,” students presented performances in various languages for six hours, conveying the message of “unity through language.”
The event featured poets and students performing in Sanskrit, Hindi, Malayalam, Telugu, Kannada, Marathi, Gujarati, Sindhi, Bengali, Urdu, Nimadi, Malvi, and Arunachali, among a total of 22 languages. Each performance reflected national spirit and love for the motherland.

Vice-Chancellor Arpan Bhardwaj said that the campus has become a symbol of “Mini India” today. He announced that a Malayalam Language Teaching Center will soon be established at the university. Under this initiative, every university in Madhya Pradesh will provide instruction in an additional language. Geeta Nayak, coordinator of the Indian Languages Cell, stated that language awakens us and inspires patriotic feelings.
Among the poets presenting on stage were Lokesh Nirbhay (Hindi), Ayappa Swami (Kerala), Suchitra Pandit (Marathi), Sai Sikha Naidu (Telugu), Almir Paul (Malayalam), Paras Birla (Nimadi), and Kritik Mahawar (Urdu), along with several other participants.

B.K. Anjana, Head of the School of Sanskrit, Vedic, and Astrological Studies, credited the success of the event to all collaborators and participants. At the conclusion, all artists were felicitated.
This event was not merely a literary gathering but a vibrant demonstration of India’s linguistic diversity and cultural unity. Vikram University proved that language is not only a medium of communication but also a bridge that connects the hearts of people.
