CNN Central News & Network–ITDC India Epress/ITDC News Bhopal: Under the joint aegis of the Madhya Pradesh State AIDS Control Committee and the National Service Scheme (NSS), Madhya Pradesh, the state-level ‘Red Run Marathon’ was organized at Barkatullah University, Bhopal. The NSS volunteers of Vikramaditya University, Ujjain region delivered an outstanding performance, bringing pride and recognition to the university.

Organized with the aim of raising awareness among youth about HIV/AIDS and promoting a healthy lifestyle, this important marathon saw active participation from students of the Ujjain region, who showcased their exceptional sporting talent.

Outstanding Performance of Winning Volunteers:

The results of the competition were highly encouraging, with Ujjain students winning medals in the following categories:

Boys Category:

First Place: Mukesh won the gold medal, securing the top position.

Girls Category:

Second Place: Megha Panwar won the silver medal.

Third Place: Sakshi Suryavanshi won the bronze medal, demonstrating her talent.

Congratulations from Vice-Chancellor and Registrar:

On this remarkable achievement, Vice-Chancellor Prof. Arpan Bhardwaj and Registrar Dr. Anil Kumar Sharma congratulated all the winning students and extended their best wishes for their bright future. They stated that this performance reflects the core objectives of the National Service Scheme and the dedication of the youth.

State Representation in Nagaland:

NSS Coordinator Dr. Shekhar Maidamwar informed that the winning players of this state-level competition will now represent Madhya Pradesh at the national-level competition to be held in Nagaland, part of the “Seven Sisters” group of northeastern states. The volunteers were led by Dr. Smriti Jain, Program Officer from Lokmanya Tilak College, Ujjain.

Dr. Maidamwar added that this victory is not only a matter of pride for the university but also establishes that NSS volunteers are capable of excelling in both social awareness initiatives and sports. All eyes are now on the upcoming national event in Nagaland, where these young athletes will showcase their talent on a larger stage.
