On the occasion, Vinod Sen presented Ankit Mishra with a book based on the life, ideas and struggles of people’s leader Rahul Gandhi. The two held a meaningful and positive discussion on Mahatma Gandhi’s fundamental ideas, including truth, non-violence, harmony, social justice and sensitivity towards the last person in society.

Vinod Sen said Mahatma Gandhi’s life is not limited to the freedom movement alone; his ideas remain equally relevant for society and the nation. Gandhi made truth and non-violence the basis of life and gave a message of social harmony, mutual brotherhood and sensitivity towards weaker and deprived sections.

Sen said that at a time when society needs to further strengthen mutual trust, harmony and human values, Gandhi’s ideas provide a new direction and inspiration. He said dialogue on Gandhian thought is not merely an exchange of ideas, but also a means to understand one’s social responsibilities and put them into practice in life.
