CNN Central News & Network-ITDC India Epress/ITDC News Bhopal: BJP National General Secretary and newly appointed Uttar Pradesh in-charge Vinod Tawde arrived in Lucknow on September 5 for his first visit to the state in his new organisational role. His two-day visit is focused on reviewing the party’s organisational strength, electoral preparedness and strategy for the upcoming Uttar Pradesh Assembly elections.
Tawde is scheduled to hold discussions with senior BJP leaders and organisational functionaries in Lucknow. The meetings are expected to assess the party’s preparations at the grassroots level, strengthen booth management and review ongoing political and organisational activities.
During the visit, Tawde is also expected to meet Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath and Deputy Chief Ministers Keshav Prasad Maurya and Brajesh Pathak. The discussions are likely to focus on the political situation in Uttar Pradesh and the roadmap for the upcoming electoral contest.
The BJP leadership is placing considerable emphasis on strengthening its organisation ahead of the 2027 Assembly elections. Tawde has also reportedly asked party workers to avoid unnecessary showmanship, including grand welcomes and roadshows, and instead concentrate on election-related responsibilities and organisational work.
His Lucknow meetings are expected to provide direction to district-level teams and help the party sharpen its campaign strategy, voter outreach and booth-level preparedness. The visit comes as BJP intensifies its organisational activities across Uttar Pradesh ahead of the crucial state polls.
