The video shows a man dancing and drinking alcohol, with claims that he is Jitendra Mishra celebrating after becoming CEO of the Ram Temple Trust. Fact-checks have found the claim to be false.
According to fact-check reports, the person seen in the viral video is not Ram Temple Trust CEO Jitendra Mishra. A comparison of the video with available photographs of Jitendra Mishra also showed differences between the two individuals. Reports said the video is old footage from November 2025 and has no connection with Mishra’s appointment in September 2026.
Retired Air Marshal Jitendra Mishra was appointed the first CEO of the Shri Ram Janmabhoomi Teerth Kshetra Trust on September 2, 2026. After this, several posts linked to his name and photographs spread rapidly on social media. During this period, the old video was shared in his name. Jitendra Mishra is a former senior officer of the Indian Air Force and had served as chief of the Western Air Command during Operation Sindoor. His appointment to the Ram Temple Trust has also sparked discussion about his role in the temple administration.
The viral video was also shared by some political social media accounts, after which political reactions began. However, fact-checks described the claim made with the video as false. One report also mentioned that a person linked to the Congress who had shared the video later issued a clarification.
The most important fact in the matter is that the video footage is old, and no credible basis has been found to identify the person in it as Jitendra Mishra. Therefore, the social media claim that the new Ram Temple CEO celebrated his appointment with alcohol and dancing cannot be considered correct. Sharing videos linked to a public figure without verifying the source and date can promote misleading information. In this case too, an old video was presented by linking it to a new development.
