CNN Central News & Network-ITDC India Epress/ITDC News Bhopal: An old anecdote linked to Virat Kohli and Anushka Sharma’s love story is back in discussion. Former Indian cricketer and coach Ravi Shastri, recalling the days when Virat and Anushka were dating on ‘The Great Indian Kapil Show’, said Virat’s game looked even more aggressive when Anushka was present in the stands. Shastri said Anushka had come to cheer Kohli during a match, and Virat batted brilliantly to score more than 160 runs.

According to Shastri, the incident took place when Virat and Anushka were dating each other. He said the match began on the 26th, and Virat walked onto the field like a warrior. He played a big innings and crossed the 160-run mark. After completing his century, Virat kissed his bat and made a flying-kiss gesture towards Anushka, who was in the stands. Shastri repeated the gesture on the show while narrating the story, drawing laughter from those present.

Ravi Shastri shared the anecdote while explaining the need for players to receive support from their partners during matches. Virat and Anushka married in 2017 and today keep their personal life largely away from public discussion. The old story has once again revived memories of the early phase of their relationship.
