CNN Central News & Network–ITDC India Epress/ITDC News Bhopal: BJP State President Vishnu Dutt Sharma Expresses Gratitude for Chief Minister’s Easy Transport Service Decision
Bharatiya Janata Party’s (BJP) State President and Khajuraho MP, Vishnu Dutt Sharma, congratulated Chief Minister Mohan Yadav and expressed gratitude for the Madhya Pradesh government’s decision in the Cabinet meeting to launch the Mukhyamantri Sugam Parivahan Seva (Chief Minister’s Easy Transport Service) for the people of the state.
Sharma stated that this service would benefit every citizen of the state, especially those in rural, backward, and remote tribal areas where passenger bus services are currently inadequate. He also appreciated the government’s decisions to rename CM Rise Schools as Sandipani Schools and to establish hostels for women working in industrial areas, considering them as commendable steps that would benefit the entire state.
BJP Government Making Life Easier for Citizens
Vishnu Dutt Sharma highlighted that the BJP-led government is continuously working towards improving the lives of the people of Madhya Pradesh. The approval of Mukhyamantri Sugam Parivahan Seva is a step forward in these efforts. He noted that this transport service, initiated under a Public-Private Partnership (PPP) model, would generate employment for many youths and provide business opportunities for private bus operators.
A dedicated advisory committee, including state ministers, collectors, and other public representatives, will be formed to provide strategic guidance to the holding company overseeing the transport service. A three-tier monitoring system will be implemented to regulate bus operations. At the state headquarters level, a State-Level Holding Company will be established, while seven Regional Subsidiary Companies will be set up in major divisions: Bhopal, Indore, Jabalpur, Gwalior, Ujjain, Sagar, and Rewa.
Priority to Contracted Buses & Improved Tribal Connectivity
Sharma further explained that in this new scheme, the government will prioritize issuing permits to contracted buses while maintaining effective control over operations to prevent passenger exploitation. He assured that the government is committed to enhancing passenger transport facilities in all tribal areas of the state, ensuring that these remote regions are well-connected to the broader development initiatives.
