CNN Central News & Network–ITDC India Epress/ITDC News Bhopal: Dedicated to Art, Literature, and Culture, and active for over 40 years, the Vanmali Srijanpeeth has announced the National Poetry Awards in memory of Vishnu Khare, a disciple of Vanmali and a prominent poet, critic, translator, journalist, and born in Chhindwara, Madhya Pradesh. The announcement was made by Santosh Choubey, National President of Vanmali Srijanpeeth. The Vishnu Khare Poetry Award-2025 will honor creators in four distinct categories:

Vishnu Khare Criticism Award: Senior critic, poet, and translator Nandkishore Acharya (Bikaner)

Vishnu Khare Translation Award: Senior translator A. Arvindakshan (Kerala)

Vishnu Khare Poetry Award: Renowned writer, poet, translator, and critic Leeladhar Mandloi (New Delhi)

Vishnu Khare Young Poetry Award: Young poet Parvati Tirki (Jharkhand)

Notably, Nandkishore Acharya, a Sahitya Akademi awardee, has contributed to criticism, poetry, drama, and cultural discourse, and remains active in the literary scene of Madhya Pradesh. A. Arvindakshan, former Vice Chancellor of the International Hindi University, Wardha, is a leading critic and translator with numerous publications in both Hindi and Malayalam. Leeladhar Mandloi, an acclaimed poet and critic, has published works like “Ghar-Ghar Ghooma,” “Raat-Birat,” and “Aandaman-Nicobar Ki Lok Kahaniyan.” Parvati Tirki, a young poet, is known for her debut poetry collection “Phir Ugna,” and her interest in poetry and folk songs.

The Poetry Awards Ceremony will take place from February 19-21, 2025, in Bhopal. February 19 and 20 will feature “Katha Samay” at Rabindranath Tagore University, and the Vishnu Khare Poetry Award ceremony will be held on February 21 at the Vanmali Auditorium, Scope University, Bhopal. The General Secretary of the World Hindi Secretariat, Madhuri Ramdhari (Mauritius), will attend the event along with prominent literary figures.
