CNN Central News & Network–ITDC India Epress/ITDC News Bhopal: Vishw Rang International Hindi Olympiad 2025: Global Promotion of Hindi and Connecting the New Generation

With the aim of promoting the Hindi language globally and connecting the new generation with Hindi, Vishw Rang Foundation (India), Rabindranath Tagore University Bhopal, and Vanmali Srijan Peeth are jointly organizing the Vishw Rang International Hindi Olympiad 2025. This event will be held from September 14 (Hindi Day) to September 30 (International Translation Day) in India and over 50 countries worldwide. A press conference regarding the Olympiad was held at Palash Residency.

During the press conference, Santosh Chaubey, Director of Vishw Rang and Chancellor of Rabindranath Tagore University, Prof. Chancellor Aditi Chaturvedi Vats, Co-Director of Vishw Rang and Rabindranath Tagore University, senior academic Dr. Amitabh Saxena, Jawahar Karnavat, Director of Tagore International Hindi Center, and Vinay Upadhyay, Director of Tagore International Literature and Arts Center, shared detailed information about the event. The formal inauguration of the Vishw Rang Hindi Olympiad will be conducted by Hon’ble Chief Minister of Madhya Pradesh, Mohan Yadav, on September 15 along with the website launch.

Key Highlights:

Santosh Chaubey stated that the Olympiad will bring together Hindi speakers, writers, and enthusiasts from 65 countries.

The Olympiad will run from September 14 to September 30, offering six levels for students in India (Class 1 to postgraduate) and abroad (Level 1 to Level 6).

It will be the largest cultural-educational campaign to date in terms of scope and scale.

Winners of the international competition will receive attractive prizes, and all participants will be awarded certificates.

Vishw Rang Sri Lanka Conference: September 29–30

As part of the Vishw Rang International Chapter, the Vishw Rang Sri Lanka 2025 conference will be held on September 29–30, 2025, in Colombo, Sri Lanka. Co-organized by the Swami Vivekananda Cultural Center, Indian High Commission, Colombo, this event will host prominent writers, professors, and students from India and South & Southeast Asian countries. The main theme will be “Foundations of Cultural Coordination in South and Southeast Asian Countries”. The opening address will be delivered by renowned thinker Pawan Verma, and the event will feature linguistic exchange, discussions on cultural unity, and special poetry recitations by poets.

Vishw Rang Book Journey – Promoting Book Culture to All

Following the tradition of Vishw Rang, this year’s Vishw Rang Book Journey will begin on October 2, organized in collaboration with universities and ISECET centers in four major Hindi-speaking states – Madhya Pradesh, Chhattisgarh, Bihar, and Jharkhand. The journey will cover 125 districts, 250 development blocks, and 700 village panchayats.

Activities will include:

Book exhibitions

Special exhibitions on freedom heroes and women freedom fighters

Exhibitions focused on scientists

Creative competitions like poetry & story writing, debates, and short film making

The objective of the Book Journey is to instill interest in books and bring book culture to all sections of society, including children, youth, senior citizens, differently-abled people, and third-gender communities. Previous book journeys have reached jails, old-age homes, and remote areas, creating cultural awareness and serving as exemplary initiatives.
