CNN Central News & Network–ITDC India Epress/ITDC News Bhopal: The two-day international conference titled “From Local to Global: The Role of Literature and Arts in Making India a Developed Nation”, organized under the seventh edition of Vishwarang at Rabindranath Tagore University (RNTU), concluded with grandeur. The program was coordinated by Dr. Ruchi Mishra Tiwari, Dean of the Faculty of Humanities and Liberal Arts.
Sri Lanka’s Visual and Performing Arts Highlight Global Cultural Bridge
Dr. Kamani Samarsinghe, Director of International Relations at the university, stated that Vishwarang has created a unique cultural and academic bridge connecting 70 countries through arts and culture.
Deep Dialogue on Humanity, Literature, and Global Language Expansion
In the first session, Dr. Yojana Rawat, Dean of Punjab University, expressed concern about the tendency to view humans as objects and highlighted Indian literature and arts as a foundation for human upliftment. She emphasized campaigns such as “We Love Hindi” to promote the global spread of Hindi.
Dr. Alka Bhargava, Principal of PETC Indore, highlighted the decisive role of women and youth in nation-building, citing works by Bhavani Prasad Mishra and Atal Bihari Vajpayee.
RNTU Vice-Chancellor Prof. Ravi Prakash Dubey described regional languages, folk arts, and theater as powerful mediums for social change and mental liberation.
From Vedas to AI: Scientific Vision for Developed India

On the second day, Dr. Roli Shukla delivered her much-discussed lecture “From Vedas to Waves: From Om to Automation”, focusing on how scientific values in the Vedas, combined with AI, ethics, and environmental balance, form the foundation for Developed India by 2047.
Dr. Vijay Sharma explained the indispensability of discipline, practice, and spirituality in Indian culture.
40 Research Papers and Art Presentations Enchant Participants
On the first day, under the chairmanship of Dr. Mukesh Pachauri and Dr. Seema Rajada, around 40 research papers were presented, covering topics such as:
Social impact of Artificial Intelligence
Representation of historical sites in Hindi cinema
Role of anime in modern narrative styles

The second day included traditional academic presentations alongside research-based performances in song, music, and dance, which were a major attraction.
Based on the rich research presented, two books are scheduled for publication.
New Direction in India–Sri Lanka Academic Collaboration
An MoU was signed between RNTU and a Sri Lankan university for academic collaboration, marking a significant chapter in India–Sri Lanka educational relations.
