CNN Central News & Network–ITDC India Epress/ITDC News Bhopal : Vividha Academy, a renowned art and culture academy based in Bhopal, has made the city and the entire Madhya Pradesh proud by setting a world record in Kathak dance. Vividha is the first academy in the world to achieve this feat, where over 125 female students performed pure classical Kathak continuously for 12 hours in sequence, earning a place in the Golden Book of World Records.

The idea for this world record was envisioned by academy director and musician Abhay Tiwari, and under the guidance of celebrated Kathak dancer and guru Abhilasha Tiwari, the students made history. Guru Abhilasha stated that Vividha Academy always strives for innovation, and no other academy has ever attempted such a record in Kathak before. The forward-thinking spirit gave rise to this initiative, and on July 20, 2025, Vividha achieved the world record in Kathak dance.

The preparations had been ongoing for the last two months, and students ranging in age from 5 to 59 years participated in this achievement. During the performance, Mr. Manoj Kumar Shukla from the Golden Book of World Records was present as the official judge. The technical team also verified the event through YouTube live streaming. A provisional certificate was awarded to the academy on the same day, and a final certificate will be issued after all verifications are complete.

Academy Director Abhay Tiwari remarked that this is just the beginning, and the academy will continue to set many more such records in the future.
