CNN Central News & Network–ITDC India Epress/ITDC News Bhopal: As per the directives of the Election Commission, a Standing Committee meeting was held under the chairmanship of Collector and District Election Officer Kaushalendra Vikram Singh at the Collectorate Office as part of the Special Summary Revision Program 2025 for the voter list.
It was informed during the meeting that Bhopal district initially had a total of 21,14,070 registered voters, including 10,85,470 males, 10,28,432 females, and 168 transgender individuals. During the voter revision process, 4,294 new voters were added, bringing the total voter count in the district to 21,18,364 as of the final publication on January 6, 2025. This includes 10,86,676 males, 10,31,520 females, and 168 transgender individuals.
The district recorded an EP ratio of 69.15 and a gender ratio of 950. Additionally, the district has 1,557 service voters, 9,337 differently-abled (PWD) voters, and 28,901 voters aged above 80 years, comprising 14,001 males and 14,900 females.
Copies of the photo voter list were distributed to representatives of recognized political parties present at the meeting. Attendees included Deputy District Election Officer Deepak Pandey, SDMs Ashutosh Sharma and Aditya Jain, as well as representatives from the Bharatiya Janata Party, Indian National Congress, and Bahujan Samaj Party.
