CNN Central News & Network–ITDC India Epress/ITDC News Bhopal: WWE legend Hulk Hogan took a dig at US Vice President and Democrat presidential contender Kamala Harris’s racial identity, and joking about body-slamming her.
Speaking at a promotional event for his new beer, Hogan, 71, whose real name is Terry Gene Bollea, was seen on camera asking the audience, “Do you want me to body slam Kamala Harris? Do you want me to drop the leg on Kamala [referring to one of his iconic wrestling moves]?”
Harris’s father Donald Jasper Harris is Jamaican-American, while her mother, Shyamala Gopalan, is an immigrant to the US from India. Hogan is a supporter of US Republican presidential nominee Donald Trump, who along with his running mate J.D. Vance, too had questioned Harris’s roots.
Continuing his tirade against her, Hogan said: “Is Kamala a chameleon? Is Kamala Indian?” He later remarked that he was going to “feel the heat” for his remarks and that it was the “beer talking”.
