CNN Central News & Network–ITDC India Epress/ITDC News Bhopal: To ensure the successful implementation of the Swachh Bharat Mission (Gramin), an orientation program was organized on Thursday by the District Panchayat Bhopal for scrap dealers and small waste collectors from Fanda and Berasia development blocks. The event was held in the auditorium of the District Panchayat Bhopal.

More than 70 members from various waste collection groups participated in the program organized under the Swachh Bharat Mission (Gramin). During the session, they were informed about the benefits they could avail through various government schemes. Additionally, details were shared about fair pricing and the proper disposal of collected waste through the Material Recovery Facility (MRF), established by the District Panchayat and the Sarthak Community Development and Welfare Organization.

During the program, the waste collectors voiced their concerns, which were acknowledged by the CEO of the District Panchayat, Mrs. Ila Tiwari. She assured them that appropriate steps would be taken to resolve the issues.

District SBM Coordinator Mr. Santosh Jharia provided information about the types of waste collected from villages. On this occasion, Mr. Imtiyaz Ali, the coordinator of the Sarthak Organization and a member of the State-level Solid Waste Management Advisory Committee, gave a comprehensive overview of the Solid Waste Management Rules 2016 and the NAMASTE and Swachh Udyami Yojana to the scrap workers.
