Water supply from six tanks shut in Raipur; 10,000 homes hit

Supply to more than 10,000 homes in the city is expected to be affected.

After the pipeline was damaged, the team of the department concerned began repair work. Because of the fault in the pipeline, adequate water is not reaching the tanks. As a result, regular water supply in the affected areas had to be stopped. Residents of the areas concerned may face drinking water difficulties because of the sudden shutdown.

A team of technical staff has been deployed to complete the repair work. Water supply will return to normal only after the main pipeline is fixed. Repair work is currently under way, and the time for restoring supply will depend on how long the work takes.

With water supply affected, people may have to arrange water for daily needs. Residents of the affected areas will need to use available water carefully.
