The World Audio Visual and Entertainment Summit (WAVES) will be held from February 5 to 9, 2025, at Bharat Mandapam, New Delhi. Designed to enhance the global impact of the media and entertainment industry, this summit serves as a premier platform for fostering dialogue, business collaborations, and innovation. Speaking at the Inter-Media Publicity Coordination Committee (IMPCC) meeting held at the PIB Bhopal auditorium on Tuesday, CBC Bhopal Deputy Director Sharik Noor highlighted WAVES’ role in advancing the emerging landscape of the media and entertainment sector.
Assistant Director of PIB Bhopal, Sameer Verma, provided a detailed PowerPoint presentation on the various dimensions of WAVES, emphasizing the competitive events like reel-making, poster creation, animation, and drone filmmaking, which offer participants a chance to showcase their creativity and skills.
Additionally, the meeting featured a presentation on Prasar Bharati’s OTT platform, ‘WAVES.’ Mukesh Sharma of Doordarshan Bhopal shared insights about its launch during the opening ceremony of the 55th International Film Festival of India (IFFI) in Goa.
The committee also emphasized focused publicity efforts on themes such as ‘TB-Free India’ and ‘Good Governance Day.’ Representatives from various organizations, including CSIR-AMPRI, MANIT, IISER, the Archaeological Survey of India, NTTTR, Kendriya Vidyalaya Sangathan, Doordarshan, All India Radio, CRC, CBC, BMHRRC, CIPET, IIFM, BSNL, and the Postal Department, participated in the meeting and shared their department’s activities.
The event concluded with a vote of thanks delivered by Prem Chandra Gupta, Media and Communications Officer, PIB Bhopal.
