CNN Central News & Network–ITDC India Epress/ITDC News Bhopal: The Coordination Review Meeting of West Central Railway was held under the chairmanship of General Manager Shobhana Bandopadhyay. The meeting primarily focused on railway safety, crowd management, and better operation of passenger amenities.

The General Manager emphasized that safety is the top priority of West Central Railway. She stressed strict compliance with Railway Board guidelines and systematic implementation of safety improvements. Special focus was laid on ultrasonic flaw detection (USFD) technology for track inspection, as well as turnout, track, and switch examinations.

The meeting also discussed providing enhanced rail services during upcoming festivals such as Dussehra, Diwali, and Chhath. Instructions were given for effective crowd management at major stations, including holding areas, platforms, lifts/escalator monitoring, CCTV surveillance, and RPF/GRPF security.

Further discussions were held on the ongoing projects and infrastructure development works under Bhopal and Kota divisions in preparation for the Nashik Kumbh Mela 2027 and the Mahakumbh Singhast Ujjain 2028, with emphasis on timely completion.

The meeting was attended by Additional General Manager Pramod Kumar Khatri, Senior Deputy General Manager Neeraj Kumar, Principal Engineers, Commercial Managers, Mechanical and Electrical Engineers, and Divisional Railway Managers of Jabalpur, Bhopal, and Kota through video conferencing.

The General Manager directed all department heads and divisional managers to prioritize safety and passenger amenities during the festive season and ensure punctual train operations.
