CNN Central News & Network–ITDC India Epress/ITDC News Bhopal: Under the aegis of the Association of Indian Universities (AIU), the West Zone Inter-University Volleyball (Men) Tournament 2025–26, organized by LNCT University, Bhopal, is being held from 10 to 14 December 2025 at the LNCT University Ground, Kolar Road, Bhopal. The tournament commenced with a grand inauguration.
The competition was inaugurated by Dr. Anupam Chouksey, Chancellor of JNCT Professional University, who introduced all participating players in the presence of Dr. N.K. Thapak, Vice Chancellor, LNCT Group; Pankaj Kumar; R.K. Sharma, Sports Officer, TIT; and P.S. Dara Singh.
This prestigious championship features more than 1,800 players from around 140 universities falling under the West Zone. The enthusiasm, energy, and competitive spirit of the players and officials made the inaugural ceremony vibrant and dignified.
LNCT University management has ensured excellent arrangements for all participating teams, coaches, officials, and visitors to enable the smooth, safe, and successful conduct of the tournament.
On the first day of the five-day tournament, the matches played witnessed the following results:
Shivaji University, Kolhapur defeated Kranti Surya Tatya Bhil University, Khargone by 3–0
Gujarat Technical University, Nigam Nagar defeated Bh ilwara University by 3–0
University of Kota defeated Pahar University by 3–0
APS University, Rewa defeated SEM Global University, Bhopal by 3–0
Maharaja Sayajirao University defeated Oriental University, Indore by 2–0 and advanced to the next round
