CNN Central News & Network–ITDC India Epress/ITDC News Bhopal: The Coordination Review Meeting of West Central Railway was held under the chairmanship of General Manager Shobhana Bandyopadhyay. The meeting focused on various key issues across the three divisions—Jabalpur, Bhopal, and Kota—including ongoing special safety drives, train punctuality, safe railway operations, infrastructure development projects, and revenue enhancement measures.

The General Manager issued clear directives for accelerating the progress of railway projects, ensuring timely completion of construction works, and maintaining strict timelines. Emphasizing the primacy of safety, she stressed adherence to Railway Board guidelines, review of welding and track maintenance standards, and inspection of safety preparedness in view of the monsoon season.

The meeting also reviewed revenue sources such as passenger earnings, freight transportation, and sundry income. The General Manager highlighted the importance of increasing originating revenue and analyzing passenger amenities via the “Rail Madad” portal. She also called for minimizing human errors and asset failures in operations, and enhancing monitoring of signals and welding quality.

On this occasion, Additional General Manager Pramod Kumar Khatri and all principal departmental heads of the railway were present, while the Divisional Railway Managers participated via video conferencing. The meeting also included detailed discussions on optimal utilization of capital expenditure and effective implementation of safety campaigns.
