On the occasion of Wildlife Week 2025, the Regional Science Centre in Bhopal hosted an inspiring public lecture and the launch of a new 3D film titled “Jungle Safari.” The chief speaker, Shubhoranjan Sen, IFS, Chief Principal Conservator of Forests (Wildlife), Forest Department, Government of Madhya Pradesh, delivered a captivating and experiential talk on “Between Forest Trails and Starry Skies: A Life of Conservation and Photography.”

Drawing from his real-life experiences, Mr. Sen deeply engaged a diverse audience comprising students, teachers, nature enthusiasts, and science aficionados. He began by sharing his observations of the night sky and astrophotography captured from Madhya Pradesh’s darkest regions. He then presented the beauty, love, and care of wildlife through vivid images captured through his camera lens. His lecture inspired all attendees toward wildlife conservation and astrophotography.

During the event, the new 3D film “Jungle Safari” was inaugurated by Mr. Sen. The film took the audience on a mesmerizing journey through the dense rainforests of the Amazon and the vast savannas of Africa. The lifelike 3D visuals gave viewers the immersive experience of being part of the natural world.

This event proved to be a beautiful confluence of science, art, and conservation, awakening in the audience a renewed curiosity and sensitivity toward nature, photography, and astronomy.
