CNN Central News & Network–ITDC India Epress/ITDC News Bhopal: On the occasion of International Women’s Day 2026, the Regional Science Centre, Bhopal is organizing a series of special science programmes on 8 March 2026 under the theme “Benefits of Giving”. The objective of these programmes is to encourage interest and develop a scientific temperament among girl students towards Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathematics (STEM).

As part of the programme series, several engaging and educational activities were organized at the centre. The programme began with the Human Torso Science Show, where students were introduced to the internal structure of the human body and the functions of major organs in a simple and interesting manner. Through this demonstration, students learned how different organs of the human body work together to ensure its proper functioning.

Following this, a special STEM workshop was organized for girl students. During this hands-on session, the participants took part in activities related to science, technology, engineering and mathematics. The workshop included experimental learning, engineering tasks, and creative problem-solving exercises. The main objective of this workshop was to encourage scientific curiosity, self-confidence, and a spirit of innovation among the students.

A special workshop titled “Race of Molecules”, based on the fundamental concepts of biotechnology, was also conducted as part of the programme. In this activity, participants performed interesting experiments to understand the movement and interaction of molecules. This session provided students with an opportunity to learn science in a fun, interactive, and experimental way.

On 8 March 2026, the programme will also feature demonstrations of supercooled bodies using liquid nitrogen, sunspot observation through a safe telescope, a guided tour of the Dinosaur Park, and educational visits to various thematic galleries.

Through these activities, the aim is to introduce students to the practical and fascinating aspects of science, enhance their interest in scientific learning, and inspire them towards innovation.
