CNN Central News & Network–ITDC India Epress/ITDC News Bhopal: As part of International Women’s Day Week, the Women & Child Development Department, Bhopal Division, organized training programs for school principals and senior female teachers in the districts of Vidisha, Raisen, and Sehore to raise awareness about girl child safety, child rights, and relevant laws.
The aim of these training programs was to ensure girl child safety at the school level and to prepare principals and teachers as master trainers, enabling them to educate students in their respective schools on these important topics.

In Vidisha, the training program held at the District Panchayat Auditorium was addressed by Assistant Director Vivek Sharma of the Women & Child Development Department, who highlighted various schemes implemented by the department, particularly those focused on girls. He emphasized the importance of disseminating information about these schemes through schools so that girls can become aware of their rights and move forward with confidence.
Law and Supervision Officer Shyam Kumar Sharma provided detailed guidance on child rights, the POCSO Act, and the Juvenile Justice Act 2015, while Kritika Vyas, Administrator of the One Stop Center, conducted sessions on girl child safety, emphasizing the creation of safe and sensitive environments in schools. Rambabu Prajapati, Chairperson of the Child Welfare Committee, along with other members, also provided guidance on important child protection topics.
Similarly, a trainer workshop was organized at the District Panchayat Auditorium in Sehore, where Municipal Superintendent of Police (CSP) Abhinandana Sharma, District Legal Services Officer Zeeshan Khan, and members of the Child Welfare Committee shared detailed insights on girl child safety, cybercrime awareness, and various legal provisions.
Through these training programs, principals and teachers were equipped with knowledge on child rights, child protection laws, and key aspects of girl child safety, enabling them to ensure a safe and sensitive environment for students in their schools.
