CNN Central News & Network–ITDC India Epress/ITDC News Bhopal: On the occasion of International Women’s Day, the Women’s Development Cell and Internal Complaints Committee of Makhanlal Chaturvedi National University of Journalism and Communication (MCU) organized a special lecture and health camp on Thursday at the Nalanda Library for female staff members and women residents of the campus.

The lecture, titled “Health of Women Aged 30–55: Balance, Caution, and Empowered Living”, was delivered by Priya Bhave Chittawar, a renowned gynecologist from Bhopal. She highlighted key aspects of women’s health, emphasizing the importance of a balanced diet, regular exercise, stress management, and a healthy lifestyle. She also advised women to undergo regular health check-ups under a doctor’s guidance, noting that early detection of many diseases is possible through timely screening.

Dr. Chittawar pointed out that women often neglect their own health due to family responsibilities, and therefore, should prioritize their health and never ignore any warning signs.

The lecture was attended and welcomed by Vice-Chancellor Vijay Manohar Tiwari, who appreciated the initiative. Other dignitaries present included Trupti Tiwari, Registrar P. Shashikala, ICC Chairperson Aarti Sarang, and Coordinator of the Women’s Development Cell, Garima Patel.

Following the lecture, a health camp was held, providing participants with health consultations, along with hemoglobin and blood sugar testing. A large number of department heads, senior faculty, staff members, and women residents of the campus participated and praised the initiative.

This event successfully combined health education and practical screening, empowering women to take proactive steps toward their wellbeing.
