CNN Central News & Network–ITDC India Epress/ITDC News Bhopal: The Faculty of Pharmacy at Bhabha University successfully organized a Faculty Development Program (FDP) cum Workshop on the topic “Hydrotropic Analysis (Green Analysis) of Drugs Without Involvement of Organic Solvents.”

This program was conducted with the collaboration of the Indian Pharmaceutical Association (IPA), the Association of Pharmaceutical Teachers of India (APTI), and the Madhya Pradesh Council of Science and Technology, giving it national recognition and academic significance.

The event began with a traditional lamp-lighting ceremony and a welcome address by Prof. Shailesh Kumar Ghatwari, Dean of Pharmacy. In his speech, he described the event as a celebration of science, sustainability, and collaboration, serving as a platform for knowledge exchange, innovation, and promotion of responsible pharmaceutical practices.

This was followed by the inaugural address by the Hon’ble Vice-Chancellor.

The keynote address was delivered by Dr. Rajesh Maheshwari, the inventor of the hydrotropic solubilization technique, who shared valuable insights into eco-friendly pharmaceutical methodologies.

The primary objective of the workshop was to educate teachers and students about environmentally sensitive and sustainable analytical methods in pharmaceutical sciences.

The event concluded with feedback collection, a vote of thanks, and a formal lunch.

This workshop proved to be a significant step toward promoting green chemistry in pharmaceutical education. Distinguished guests included Chancellor Prof. Dilip Kumar De, Pro-Chancellor N. K. Agrawal, Group Director Dr. Manoj Kumar Shukla, and Registrar Shyam Patkar. On this occasion, CEO Prasad Pillai extended congratulations to all involved in the successful execution of the event.
