CNN Central News & Network-ITDC India Epress / Bhopal: On the second day of the workshop organized by the Department of Electronic Media of Makhanlal Chaturvedi National University of Journalism and Communication, on the topic “Radio Program Production and Script Writing”, the first woman news reader of Bhopal Doordarshan, Ms. Manju Mehta addressed the students as the keynote speaker. Ms. Monika Verma, Head of the Department of Electronic Media welcomed the keynote speaker Ms. Manju Mehta by presenting her angvastra and memento.
In her address, Ms. Manju said that All India Radio and Doordarshan have maintained their decency even today. The focus of private channels is on TRP and sensation, but in AIR and Doordarshan, the focus is still on content. Describing emotion and expression as necessary, he also said that special attention should be paid to body language. Ms Manju said anchors should be impartial. Along with this, he said that while working in this field, it is very important to have understanding and discretion in you. He told the students to read the newspaper and keep practicing news reading and anchoring in front of the mirror. Ms. Manju said that while anchoring, your entire focus should be on your work.
The main speaker of the concluding session, News Editor of AIR Bhopal Sanjeev Sharma said that every second of radio is very important. He said that the script of radio should be simple, as well as the language should be simple. Shri Sharma said that difficult words should not be used while pronouncing in radio scripts. The session was chaired by Manoj Kumar, Mukesh Chaurase, Rahul Khadia, Ramdin Tyagi. The session was conducted by students Abhishek Soni, Shreya Bhonsle, Omkar Awasthi and Ruby Kumari Singh. The video and photography were coordinated by Manoj Patel, Ms. Priyanka Sonkar. The two-day workshop was inaugurated at Swami Vivekananda Auditorium. It was done by Vice-Chancellor KG Suresh. Students of Electronic Media Department and guest teachers were present in the workshop.
