CNN Central News & Network–ITDC India Epress/ITDC News Bhopal: Under the guidance of AIIMS Bhopal’s Executive Director Dr. Ajay Singh, the institute organized an awareness session in the Pediatric OPD on the occasion of World Down Syndrome Day. Led by Director Dr. Bhawna Dhingra, the session aimed to raise awareness about Down syndrome, its challenges, early interventions, and the importance of inclusive care. Parents, caregivers, and healthcare professionals actively participated in the program.

Through interactive activities and informative discussions, the session emphasized the need for community support and inclusive education opportunities for children with Down syndrome. Professor Ajay Singh highlighted the importance of building a more inclusive society, stating,

“At AIIMS Bhopal, we are committed to providing comprehensive care and raising awareness about genetic conditions like Down syndrome.”

He further added that such awareness sessions play a vital role in dispelling myths and creating a supportive environment for children with special needs.

The event concluded with an Open Forum, giving attendees the chance to ask questions and share personal experiences. With continued efforts in counseling, therapeutic support, and awareness initiatives, AIIMS Bhopal reaffirmed its commitment to children with Down syndrome and their families.
