Under the guidance of Divisional Railway Manager Devashish Tripathi, the World Environment Day Campaign 2025 commenced in the Bhopal Division of West Central Railway. The campaign will continue until June 5, featuring various public awareness activities focused on environmental conservation.

During the inauguration event held at the Divisional Railway Office campus in Bhopal, Additional Divisional Railway Manager Yogendra Baghel administered the “Green Pledge” to all officers and staff. Through this pledge, participants committed to keeping the environment clean and green. Key objectives of the campaign include tree plantation, water and electricity conservation, and reducing plastic usage.

Officers and employees from multiple departments, including the Divisional Personnel Officer, participated in the event. Simultaneously, awareness programs were also conducted at the Divisional Railway Hospital, Bhopal. Posters, pamphlets, and seminars were used to discuss the problems of plastic pollution and its solutions. Staff members were encouraged to use steel or recycled plastic products.

In the outpatient department premises, the general public was informed about eco-friendly alternatives to plastic. The campaign will continue in railway colonies and campuses in the coming days through plantation drives, cleanliness activities, and interactive sessions. The goal is to realize the vision of a “Clean, Green, and Responsible Railway Division.”
