CNN Central News and Network–ITDC India Epress / ITDC News Bhopal: Under the World Environment Day Campaign-2026, various activities are being organised in the Bhopal Division to increase public awareness about environmental protection and cleanliness. As part of this, special cleanliness and tree plantation programmes were held at different railway premises in Bhopal.
A special cleanliness drive was conducted at the Eastern Railway Colony, Bhopal, and the colony premises were thoroughly cleaned. On the occasion, railway employees and local residents were made aware of the need to maintain cleanliness and keep their surroundings neat and clean. During the campaign, information was also shared on environmental protection, a clean lifestyle, and the importance of waste management.
In the same sequence, posters related to environmental protection were displayed at various places in the Bina Running Room to promote environmental awareness. Through these posters, messages were spread on water conservation, tree plantation, limited use of plastic, and the need for a clean environment.
A tree plantation programme was also organised in the Running Room premises. Under the programme, fruit-bearing saplings were planted inside the Running Room, while shade-giving trees were planted outside the premises. The employees present were urged to plant more and more saplings and take a pledge for the protection and growth of the planted trees. They were also encouraged to plant saplings at their homes and in nearby areas.
Under the World Environment Day Campaign-2026, the Bhopal Division will continue to organise various public awareness programmes in the coming days to promote cleanliness, water conservation, energy saving, and a green environment.
