CNN Central News & Network-ITDC India Epress/ITDC News Bhopal: Bhopal: World Environment Day was celebrated at LNCT University by the university's Nature's Club.

The event was organised in line with the Government of India's Mission LiFE (Lifestyle for Environment) initiative. The objective of the programme was to promote environmental awareness among staff and students.

The programme included activities such as an environmental protection pledge, a tree plantation campaign, and awareness on the disposal and segregation of dry and wet waste. Students and faculty members resolved to contribute to environmental conservation.

As part of the plantation campaign, faculty members and staff planted saplings in the university's herbal garden, further strengthening the university's commitment to greenery.

Vice-Chancellor Prof. N. K. Thapak was present on the occasion, along with principals and deans of the university's constituent units, faculty members and students.
