Camps will be set up for screening high blood pressure, diabetes, and non-alcoholic fatty liver disease. This year’s theme for the day is ‘Food is Medicine.’ Consultation sessions will be conducted to educate people on how to protect the liver from diseases. Additionally, detailed information will be provided about dietary precautions.
Dr. Prabhakar Tiwari, Chief Medical and Health Officer of Bhopal, stated that the liver is a very important organ in the body. To safeguard liver health, the government is running screening programs for non-alcoholic fatty liver disease and viral hepatitis control under the non-communicable disease control program. During this event, awareness programs will be held at health institutions to provide information about dietary precautions, infection prevention, viral hepatitis, and more.”
