CNN Central News & Network–ITDC India Epress/ITDC News Bhopal: On the occasion of World No Tobacco Day, an awareness program was organized at Sant Hirdaram Girls College, Bhopal.
This program was held in compliance with the directives issued by the Commissioner of the Department of Social Justice and Empowerment of Persons with Disabilities.
The objective of this program was to raise awareness in society about the harmful effects of tobacco consumption and to promote a healthy, tobacco-free lifestyle.
As part of the awareness campaign, NSS (National Service Scheme) volunteers created thought-provoking posters highlighting the dangers of tobacco and the importance of quitting it. These posters were displayed on the volunteers’ social media platforms, providing an effective visual representation of the theme and delivering a clear message, especially to the youth, about the urgent need to curb tobacco addiction.
This initiative reflected the college’s commitment to social responsibility and the involvement of volunteers in nation-building efforts.
The college principal, Dalima Parwani, along with faculty members, appreciated the creativity and social commitment of the NSS volunteers. They encouraged all students to adopt and promote healthy habits in their personal lives and society.
