CNN Central News & Network–ITDC India Epress/ITDC News Bhopal: An awareness program was organized by the Institute of Pharmacy at Rabindranath Tagore University on the occasion of World Pharmacist Day. The theme of the event was “Pharmacists: Global Health and Needs.” Dr. C.P. Mishra, Dean of AISECT Group of Universities (AGU), and Director Durga Pandey, Principal of the Institute of Pharmacy, were especially present at the event.

To promote health awareness and highlight the vital role of pharmacists, a street play was performed in the village of Gokla Kundi, raising awareness among the villagers about the importance of hygiene and cleanliness. Alongside the university, the NSS team conducted a rally to promote cleanliness, and participants joined together to clean the village. The efforts of Program Officers Rekha Gupta and Gabbar Singh significantly contributed to the success of the event.

On this occasion, Director C.P. Mishra informed the villagers about how pharmacists play a central role in addressing various health challenges, including disease prevention, patient care, and ensuring access to medicines, especially in underserved communities. Director Durga Pandey praised the significant contribution of pharmacists in tackling global health challenges during the street play and emphasized their importance in enhancing community health initiatives.

Pharmacy faculty members Disha Deshmukh, Rajendra Meena, and Pramod Kumar Patel played crucial roles in the program. Seventy students, including pharmacy students and state-level volunteers, actively participated in the event.
