CNN Central News & Network–ITDC India Epress/ITDC News Bhopal: On the occasion of World Tourism Day, a meeting of the Inter-Media Publicity Coordination Committee (IMPCC) was organized at the World Heritage Site Bhimbetka on Friday. The meeting was chaired by Prashant Pathrabe, Additional Director General of PIB. He highlighted the key activities of August and September, discussing the successful publicity of President Droupadi Murmu’s visit to Indore and Ujjain, which was effectively promoted by PIB Bhopal.
Prashant Pathrabe also shared that Union Minister of State for Information and Broadcasting, L. Murugan, visited Indore and held review meetings with various units of the Ministry of Information and Broadcasting. Additionally, PIB Bhopal conducted plantation drives under the ‘One Tree for Mother’ campaign at sites including Kendriya Vidyalaya in Bhopal, Central Sanskrit University, Bhojpur Temple, and Indira Gandhi Rashtriya Manav Sangrahalaya.
Superintending Archaeologist of the Archaeological Survey of India (ASI), Manoj Kurmi, also participated in the meeting and provided information about the exhibition organized by ASI at Indira Gandhi Rashtriya Manav Sangrahalaya. Following the meeting, IMPCC members planted saplings at Bhimbetka under the ‘One Tree for Mother’ campaign and took a cleanliness pledge. Afterward, members enjoyed a heritage walk through Bhimbetka’s historic rock paintings and shelters, where they were briefed about the site’s historical significance.
The program saw participation from key figures, including Chief Scientist of CSIR-AMPRI, Sadanand Mishra, Shrikant Sukumar from Doordarshan News, and Sharik Noor from CBC Bhopal, alongside representatives from various departments.
