The Xavier Institute of Management, Bhubaneswar (XIMB), in collaboration with XSYS – The Systems Association of Xavier Institute, organized its annual systems conclave, Envision 2024, on the theme: “Digital Horizons: Redefining Business Innovation in the Age of AI.”
The event featured esteemed speakers, including Satyaswaroop Das, Director of Financial Services Product and Solutions at Unisys; Swaraj Mishra, Global Head of Strategic People Initiatives at Pegasystems; and Shriprakash Hota, Director of Securities Research at Wells Fargo. The sessions were moderated by Professor Bhaskar Basu, a distinguished faculty member at XIMB’s Information Systems department.

Swaraj Mishra delved into the evolution of data sourcing and stressed the importance of responsible AI, including ethical, legal, and human-centric principles. He noted that Generative AI could streamline HR processes and enhance efficiency, saying, “It’s not about technology but about customer-centricity.”
Shriprakash Hota explored the transformative impact of AI on organizations, emphasizing its role in creating new revenue streams, reducing costs, and maximizing shareholder value. He acknowledged AI’s limitations, stating that complex problems still require human intelligence.
