CNN Central News & Network-ITDC India Epress/ITDC News Bhopal: Chinese President Xi Jinping will arrive in the United States on a state visit after 11 years. According to China’s Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Xi will be on a visit to the United States from September 23 to 25, 2026. During the visit, he will meet US President Donald Trump. Xi Jinping will arrive in Washington on September 23, where US President Donald Trump will welcome him at Joint Base Andrews. An official welcome ceremony in Xi’s honour will then be held at the White House on September 24. The two leaders will also hold bilateral talks, and a state dinner will be hosted.
The meeting is expected to include discussions on several key issues, including US-China trade, tariffs, rare minerals, artificial intelligence, Taiwan and Iran. The two countries have long had differences over trade and strategic relations. Xi Jinping’s visit will be his first state visit to Washington since 2015. This will be the second top-level meeting between Trump and Xi this year. Officials from both countries are continuing talks on trade and other contentious issues ahead of the meeting.
