XIM Bhubaneswar successfully organized the Hult Prize 2025 On-Campus Finale on February 16, 2025, with NHRD Bhubaneswar Chapter participating as the HR Partner. The Hult Prize is the world’s largest social entrepreneurship competition, empowering students to become change-makers by building high-impact startups aligned with the United Nations’ Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs).
After multiple rigorous evaluation rounds, finalists presented their startup ideas before a global panel of experts, competing for a chance to win $1 million to turn their ideas into reality.
This year’s edition featured a prestigious panel of industry experts, including:
🔹 Shashank Choudhary (Former CTO, Odisha Skill Development Authority – OSDA)
🔹 Lagna Panda (CHRO, CSM Technologies)
🔹 Amlan Sahu (Delivery Manager, Infosys)
The event kicked off with an exciting launch video, setting the stage for innovative presentations. Each team was given 6 minutes to present, followed by a 4-minute Q&A session with the judges.
The students’ ideas addressed critical global challenges, including:
🔹 Specialized wells for water crisis solutions
🔹 An app optimizing blood donation for patients
🔹 Food preservation technology to reduce waste
🔹 Affordable adaptive fashion for individuals with special needs
🔹 Plastic waste reduction initiatives
Following each pitch, the judges engaged in in-depth discussions to assess the impact and feasibility of the ideas.
At the conclusion of this thrilling event, the judges shared valuable feedback and announced the top three winning teams. The organizers honored the judges with mementos, and the Hult Prize XIM Campus Director delivered a heartfelt vote of thanks, marking the event’s successful conclusion.
