CNN Central News & Network–ITDC India Epress/ITDC News Bhopal: XIM MUN, the flagship event of Xpressions 2025, the annual festival of Xavier Institute of Management, Bhubaneswar (XIMB), concluded successfully. Organized by SpeakUp, the institute’s oratory club, the event fostered critical thinking, diplomacy, and global awareness. This year’s edition featured three committees:

UNHRC (United Nations Human Rights Council): Chaired by Suwal Sharma, focusing on discussions about human rights.

UNGA DISEC (United Nations General Assembly – Disarmament and International Security Committee): Led by Sanat Puri, facilitating debates on disarmament and international security.

International Press: Co-chaired by Sneha Shruti Roy and Aditya Rath, covering the proceedings comprehensively.

The inaugural ceremony marked the beginning of three days of diplomatic debates and collaboration, featuring committee introductions, agenda overviews, and an inspiring address by SpeakUp’s student coordinator, Rishav Chandra Pathak, emphasizing the significance of diplomacy and global engagement.

UNHRC Committee

The UNHRC committee at XIM MUN 2025 served as a platform to prevent genocides, address human rights violations, and present practical solutions. Delegates analyzed historical and contemporary issues, evaluated international mechanisms, and deliberated on ethical, legal, and political aspects to emphasize proactive measures for safeguarding human dignity.

UNGA DISEC Committee

Chaired by Sanat Puri, the UNGA DISEC committee facilitated in-depth discussions on disarmament and international security. Delegates defended policies through strategic alliances and persuasive arguments, tackling conflicting perspectives while highlighting the complexities of global diplomacy.

SpeakUp ensured a well-structured and intellectually enriching platform for participants to engage in debates, deliberate on resolutions, and hone their leadership and public speaking skills.

The event was sponsored by Club First Robotics and Monginis, with Monginis also organizing a cake-baking activity for students, adding creativity and fun to the event.

Closing Ceremony

The closing ceremony of XIM MUN 2025 featured inspiring keynote addresses by Professor D.V. Raman and Bismaya Mahapatra, founder of Harsha Trust and an alumnus of XIMB. The event concluded with the presentation of awards to the delegates, making it a memorable and successful experience.
