CNN Central News & Network–ITDC India Epress/ITDC News Bhopal: Xavier Institute of Management, Bhubaneswar organized its annual business conference, Stratonomics 2024, hosted by Constrat, the Consulting and Strategy Consortium. This year’s theme was “Evolving Strategic Paradigms: Equipping with Strategies for Future Challenges.”

The event saw distinguished guests from various industries, including Mr. A L Jagannath, Director of Marketing and Partnerships at IME, ThoughtWorks; Mr. Santosh Kevalani, Vice President of Monetization and Partnerships at Myntra; Ms. Aditi Mishra, Associate Director of Enterprise Service Management at PepsiCo; Mr. Arup Mahapatra, Vice President at IndusInd Bank; and Biswajit Panda, Senior Vice President and India GCC Head at NielsenIQ. They shared insights on evolving strategic frameworks and inspired the youth to adopt future-ready strategies. Professor Francis Thomas Castellino moderated the conference.

Emphasizing the importance of understanding the target audience in today’s fragmented market, A L Jagannath stated, “We cannot build a successful brand without communicating with and understanding our prospective customers.” He highlighted that effective brand positioning connects deeply with customers through a unique proposition, while adapting to changing customer trends is essential.

Sharing thoughts on ‘Disrupt or Be Disrupted,’ Santosh Kevalani remarked, “Sometimes, it’s essential to foresee who might disrupt us next.” He emphasized the need for strategic foresight when making choices, utilizing tools like white space analysis, global trends, growth projections, industry analysis, competition mapping, and customer insights.

Addressing the audience, Ms. Aditi Mishra said, “Building strategies for the future requires learning from the past, drawing inspiration from industry peers, introspecting internally, and trusting leadership values.” She also highlighted the power of storytelling with data and shared examples from some of her favorite brands.

Explaining the importance of execution in strategy, Arup Mahapatra commented, “Once a decision is made, the real test lies in implementing it effectively.” He discussed the unique challenges of leading large financial organizations based on public funds and provided insights into India’s private banking landscape.

Biswajit Panda stated, “Strategy isn’t just about cost control; it’s about building an end-to-end business that focuses on the company’s overall growth.” He explained that effective strategy must address various financial, industrial, and operational aspects.

The conference concluded with a Q&A session moderated by Professor Francis Thomas Castellino, where the students’ enthusiastic questions and thoughtful contributions added a new perspective. Following this, a vote of thanks was delivered by Constrat Coordinator, Harshi Martya.

Stratonomics 2024 ended successfully with the powerful message that building a successful future requires deep customer relationships, readiness for changing markets, and a commitment to executing strategies focused on resilience, responsibility, and holistic growth.
