CNN Central News & Network-ITDC India Epress/ITDC News Bhopal: Kannada superstar Yash’s much-awaited film “Toxic: A Fairy Tale for Grown-Ups” could not perform at the box office as expected. Made on an estimated budget of around Rs 500 crore, the film was expected to be a major success, but the mixed and negative reviews it received after release also appeared to affect its earnings.

Now, the film’s dubbing supervisor Jayadev Mohan has spoken about Yash’s reaction amid the poor response. According to Jayadev, he spoke to Yash twice over the phone after the film’s release. Jayadev said he himself became emotional after seeing the initial reviews and audience reactions. Yash then advised him not to worry too much and said the film should be left to the audience’s opinion.

According to Jayadev, Yash also spoke about focusing on the work ahead. However, he also felt that disappointment and pain were clearly evident in Yash’s voice during the conversation. Despite a strong opening, the film lost momentum in the following days.
