CNN Central News & Network-ITDC India Epress/ITDC News Bhopal: Bhopal: Yi-Yuva Job Fair 2026 was successfully organised at Vanamali Auditorium on the campus of Scope Global Skills University (SGSU) under the joint aegis of the university and the Young Indians Bhopal Chapter. The employment fair provided a strong platform between students and industry, giving young participants direct interaction with reputed companies and access to job opportunities.
Present at the inaugural session were Young Indians Bhopal president Kuhu Sharma, Scope Global Skills University Dean, DSW, Dr Vinod Sharma, AISECT Group National Placement Head Uddipan Chatterjee, and Dheeraj Prasad, head of the university’s Training and Placement Department. The guests highlighted the need for students to develop skills in line with industry requirements, remain job-ready, and recognise the importance of industry-academia collaboration.
The job fair received an encouraging response from both students and industry. A total of 339 students participated in the event. Following interviews and assessments conducted in different stages, 121 candidates were selected and shortlisted for various employment opportunities.
A total of 20 companies took part in the job fair, while 17 reputed companies actively participated in the recruitment process. These companies offered opportunities in management, information technology, banking and finance, marketing, the service sector and other diverse fields. Students also got the opportunity to interact directly with recruitment experts, receive career guidance and understand industry expectations.
To ensure the success of the event, various university departments, faculty members, student volunteers and the Training and Placement Department worked in coordination. Multiple interview rooms were set up across the campus, allowing the selection process to be conducted smoothly and in an organised manner.
On the occasion, Dr Siddharth Chaturvedi, Chancellor of Scope Global Skills University and Executive Vice President of AISECT India, said, “In today’s competitive era, a degree alone is not enough. It is equally important to develop skills aligned with industry needs, practical experience and employability. Events like the ‘Yi-Yuva Job Fair’ are an important medium to connect students directly with the industry. Scope Global Skills University aims to prepare students for the future by providing industry-oriented education, internships, training and employment opportunities. We are pleased that a large number of students have received employment opportunities through this job fair.”
University Vice-Chancellor Vijay Singh and Registrar Sitesh Kumar Sinha said the university is continuously making such efforts to enhance the employability of students and prepare them in accordance with the real needs of industry. They said industry-academia partnerships play an important role in building a bright future for students.
Young Indians Bhopal, through its entrepreneurship and youth development verticals, helped make the event successful by acting as an effective bridge between industry and educational institutions. Such programmes encourage leadership, innovation, employability and professional development among youth.
