CNN Central News & Network–ITDC India Epress/ITDC News Bhopal: Sant Hirdaram Institute of Naturopathy and Yogic Sciences for Women is Central India’s first educational institution dedicated to naturopathy and yoga. It has been operating since 2009 in the Sant Hirdaram Nagar suburb of Bhopal, the capital of Madhya Pradesh.
At the undergraduate level, the institute offers BNYS (Bachelor of Naturopathy and Yogic Sciences), and at the postgraduate level, it has been offering MD programs in Naturopathy, Yoga, Acupuncture, and Energy Medicine since the academic year 2018–19. The main objective of the institute is to promote drug-free treatment methods and encourage a healthy lifestyle.
The college regularly organizes naturopathy and yoga awareness camps in various institutions. As you may know, the International Day of Yoga is celebrated globally every year on June 21. Under the visionary leadership of Prime Minister Narendra Modi, the concept of “100 Days, 100 Cities” was launched ahead of International Yoga Day. As part of this initiative, the Morarji Desai National Institute of Yoga under the Ministry of AYUSH, Government of India, has assigned the responsibility of organizing the 64th Day Yoga Festival in Bhopal to our college.
The program will be held on Friday, April 18, 2025, from 6:30 AM to 8:00 AM in the college campus. Principal Ankesh Singh issued a press release prior to the event, stating that over 800 participants from Bhopal city are expected to take part. The chief guest of the program will be Revered Siddh Bhau, President of the Shaheed Hemu Kalani Educational Society. The students of the college have been preparing enthusiastically for the event. The session will follow the International Yoga Protocol, and there will also be a musical yoga performance.
As a token of appreciation, all participants will receive attractive T-shirts and healthy refreshments.
In the second half of the program, a workshop on Research Methodology will be organized for college students. Dr. Varun Malhotra, Additional Professor at AIIMS Bhopal, and Dr. Vikram Pai, Medical Officer at AIIMS Raipur, will guide the students during the workshop.
Principal Ankesh Singh has appealed to the residents of Bhopal to participate in large numbers and become part of this historic event.
