CNN Central News & Network–ITDC India Epress/ITDC News Bhopal: If we practice yoga every day, we can free ourselves from many diseases. Yoga is the foundation of our Indian culture, and it is being embraced by the whole world. These thoughts were shared by the respected Shri Siddh Bhau Ji, President of Shaheed Hemu Kalani Educational Society, while addressing the participants at the prestigious Yoga Utsav 2025. He mentioned that the large number of participants is a clear symbol of the growing interest in yoga among people.

In the welcoming address, the principal of the college, Prof. (Dr.) Ankesh Singh, said, “International Yoga Day is celebrated worldwide every year on June 21. Under the visionary leadership of our honorable Prime Minister, Shri Narendra Modi Ji, the Ministry of Ayush, Government of India, is organizing the ‘100 Days 100 Cities’ initiative. As part of this initiative, our college had the responsibility to organize the 64th Yoga Festival in Bhopal, the capital of Madhya Pradesh, under the auspices of the Morarji Desai National Yoga Institute. The event was successfully organized by the college family.”

He further stated that over 800 participants from the city of Bhopal attended the event. The college’s students enthusiastically prepared for this program. The Common Yoga Protocol (CYP), as prescribed by the Ministry of Ayush, was practiced, which was inaugurated by the principal. Additionally, a musical yoga presentation was also conducted, which received great appreciation. The event saw active participation from children, youth, women, and senior citizens. Attractive T-shirts and health-boosting refreshments were distributed to all the participants as a token of appreciation.

In the second part of the event, a workshop on Research Methodology was conducted for the college students. Dr. Varun Malhotra, Additional Professor at AIIMS Bhopal, and Dr. Vikram Pai, Medical Officer at AIIMS Raipur, shared authentic research works in the fields of yoga and natural medicine. They guided the students on how to conduct research in the future.

The Director of the college, Shri Hero Gyanchandani, praised the event and congratulated the principal, Prof. (Dr.) Ankesh Singh, all the staff, and students, encouraging them to continue organizing such events in the future. In the end, Prof. (Dr.) Ankesh Singh expressed his gratitude to everyone for the successful event and hoped that such successful events would continue to be organized by the college in the future.
