CNN Central News & Network-ITDC India Epress/ITDC News Bhopal: Bhopal: Yoga Week was launched at the ICMR-Bhopal Memorial Hospital and Research Centre (BMHRC), Bhopal, on the occasion of International Yoga Day 2026.

On the first day of Yoga Week, the institute’s security personnel were introduced to yoga practice and encouraged to adopt yoga in their daily lives.

The programme is being organised by the institute under its Nirantar Yoga Diwas 2026 campaign. On the occasion, participants were informed about the importance of yoga, the health benefits of regular practice, and the role of yoga in maintaining physical and mental balance.

Yoga trainer Sushil Singh conducted practice sessions on various yogasanas and pranayama for the security personnel. They were told that regular yoga practice helps in stress management, improving concentration, and enhancing work efficiency. Yoga is especially an effective means of maintaining physical fitness and mental health for employees performing responsible duties such as security personnel.

The institute will organise various activities under Yoga Week till International Yoga Day, through which employees and other stakeholders will be made aware of yoga.

The objective of the programme is to make yoga an integral part of a healthy lifestyle and to familiarise as many people as possible with its benefits.
