CNN Central News & Network–ITDC India Epress/ITDC News Bhopal: Yogi Adityanath, Chief Minister of Uttar Pradesh, conducted a high-level review of preparations for the ‘Mega Plantation Drive-2026’, an ambitious environmental initiative aimed at significantly enhancing the state’s green cover. The review meeting focused on strategy, coordination, and execution plans to ensure the success of the large-scale plantation campaign.

During the session, the Chief Minister directed officials to prioritize the planting of native and climate-resilient species to improve biodiversity and ecological balance. He emphasized the importance of inter-departmental coordination, involving forest, rural development, urban bodies, and educational institutions to achieve the plantation targets.

Officials presented detailed action plans covering site identification, sapling availability, logistics, and post-plantation care.
